Something powerful is happening in Abia State , A new spirit of possibility, integrity, and progress is in the air.

A passionate Abian identified as Emenike Chidiebube, a real estate mogul and business blogger has called on citizens, both at home and in the diaspora, to come together and support Governor Alex Otti’s development plans for the state.

Emenike, who has been mobilizing support across different platforms, believes that Abians can raise more than ₦200 billion within six months to fund a light rail network and major road projects across the state. The idea, he explained, is to make movement across Abia faster and more efficient — a system that connects every town and local government within minutes.

According to Emenike who is also a Digital Marketing Consultant, the proposed light rail system could make movement across the state faster and easier — reducing travel time from Aba to Umuahia to just about ten minutes, and from Ohafia to Ukwa to roughly twenty minutes.

He stressed that such a project would not only create jobs but also boost trade, tourism, and economic growth.

He also expressed confidence in the leadership of Governor Alex Otti, noting that many Abians believe their money would be safe under his transparent and accountable administration.

Observers say this renewed public trust in government is something Abia has not experienced in a long time. Governor Otti’s record of honesty and commitment to service has continued to inspire confidence among residents and investors.

The call for support is more than just a political statement — it is a patriotic appeal for unity and shared responsibility. Supporters of the idea believe that if every Abian contributes in their own way, whether financially or through advocacy, the dream of a connected and prosperous Abia can become a reality.

They insist that this is not just the governor’s project but a collective mission for all Abians — one that requires the active participation of everyone who truly wants to see their state grow and take its rightful place among Nigeria’s most developed regions.

The message to Abians everywhere is clear: the time to act is now. With unity, trust, and shared commitment, Abia State can build a future powered by her own people.
